Finance IQ is provided by Sugar Social Networks Ltd, trading as Verbench (“we”, “us”). We are registered in England and Wales with company number 12497429. Our registered office is 17 Green Lanes, London, England, N16 9BS.

Finance IQ is a free adaptive quiz for checking your own finance and accounting knowledge. It gives you a score, a band, the UK finance role level your answers match, and areas to improve.

• It is not a qualification, and it doesn’t certify that you are competent in any area.
• It is not a hiring assessment. Employers don’t use it, and we don’t share your results with them.
• Your results are guidance only. They come from 15 questions, with 2 or 3 in each area. The role level shows which level your answers match. It is not a job recommendation, and it isn’t careers, professional or financial advice.

You don’t need an account. We may change, pause or withdraw Finance IQ, or any part of it, at any time.

When you use Finance IQ, you must not:

• use bots, scripts or other automated tools to take the quiz, submit forms or collect content
• scrape, copy, record, publish, share or sell the questions, answers or explanations, or use them to build a question bank, a course or a training set for software, including AI
• try to get round the time limits, usage limits or other protections, or to see answers before you answer
• try to access anyone else’s results, other than from a link they chose to share
• send false question reports, or use the email form to send emails to anyone except yourself
• disrupt, overload or test the security of the site

If you break these rules, we may block your access.

The questions, answers, explanations, scoring method, text and design of Finance IQ belong to Sugar Social Networks Ltd (apart from the typefaces, which are used under their open licences). You may use Finance IQ for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may share your own result using the share link. Nothing in these terms gives you any other right to use our content.

We check the questions carefully, and every numerical answer is worked out by code. Even so, a question may contain a mistake, or a law or standard it refers to may change. If you spot a problem, please use “Report a problem with this question”.

Finance IQ is provided free and “as is”. We don’t promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that your results will be accurate. Please don’t rely on your results alone when you make decisions about your career, studies or hiring.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for:

• any decision you make based on your results
• any loss we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen
• any business loss, such as lost profit, income or opportunity, since Finance IQ is for personal use only

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, these terms don’t affect your legal rights.

Our privacy notice explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

We may update these terms, for example when we change Finance IQ or when the law changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will also put a notice on the site. The terms that apply are the ones shown when you use Finance IQ.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.

If a court decides that any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
